Description
These are leaves from what is commonly called a Bottle Brush tree. It was autumn and the leaves were falling where I live in San Jose, CA. I dried them and let them curl naturally and was delighted at the way they seem to dance as they are dying. I wanted to emphasize the graceful movement of the curling leaves, so selected a texture that had a diagonal direction to it.
