Description
This is the second image from a recent neighborhood walk, when I saw this beautiful cat. Being accustomed to them skittering away quickly, I slowed down and hoped to get a photo. But this was a very friendly, unafraid cat who finally sat still for what seemed like a portrait shoot. I worked on the final image for most of the day, adding a number of textures, masking the cat out of them and trying different ideas before I decided it was done. In this version, I anted a vibrant color palette, so merged the textured layers in several ways.
