Description
Great White Egrets are such elegant birds that photographing them is difficult to resist. But they are so skittish that getting any good images requires patient, quiet waiting. In this case, I was able to photograph in a remote area of the San Joaquin Delta and could sit and wait till these wonderful birds relaxed. Of course, I used a telephoto lens. I then added a number of textures to replace the original background, but retain the sense of shallow water.
