Description
This flower is an Aquilegia but known commonly as Granny's Bonnet. It is closely related to the Columbine and is a genus of about 60–70 species of perennial plants that are found throughout the Northern Hemisphere. I saw many of these lovely, delicate flowers in Carmel, California. I added several textures to alter the background.
I created this in the long, narrow shape with four others that depict wildflowers that grow in the Carmel, California area. The were intended to remind viewers of the old botanical prints that were often longer than the standard sizes of today's prints.
