Description
I took this photo during my second trip out to the Delta. A friend is the manager of these vast agricultural lands on the San Joaquin Delta. Normally, the area is not accessible to the public, so it was a special treat to be taken through. This scene shows where corn was grown. After harvesting, they leave much of the corn stalks to rot and enrich the soil for future crops, so you see the ends of stalks in the water. It is especially wet because of the large amount of rain that California has had this year.
