Description
I was really delighted to see this statue after leaving the bus that took us to the city of Tivoli. It was up against the wall of a building on the main square of the city. It is a wonderfully modern depiction of this universally beloved saint of the 13th century. We associate this saint with the Italian town of Assisi. Over the years I have made a point of searching out statues of this saint and was delighted to see this one in Tivoli.
