Description
I was able to photograph this mill in Weston, Vermont during the early autumn. My photograph did not give an autumn appearance to the image, so I added a few textures to create that effect.
The original Mill was built in 1780 by Ezekiel Pease right next to the waterfall. It burned in 1900 and was rebuilt, but a story shorter. In 1936 it was rebuilt again to it’s pre-conflagration configuration, which was probably larger than Pease’ original structure. In addition to it’s setting by the falls and exterior charm, the Mill functions as one of the very few water powered operating grist mills and also contains a remarkable collection of period tools and machinery.
