Description
I set out to create a wintry scene and used an original photo of a single tree with a light blue background. The tree looked wintry without any leaves, but the sky looked like spring. I began by adding two textures from Jai Johnson's Deep Sea collection, copied them ,and blended them to create a new texture and decided to save it. I made the delightful mistake of inverting the image and wound up with a white tree on the texture and loved the result. I then added painting accents to add to the textured feel. The final step was to add a few of the lyrics from the lovely Christmas carol "White Christmas" to make this a Christmas card.
