Description
I have always loved birch trees and wonder if it is because of the impossible thinness of the trunks or the contrast between the white and the green or yellow leaves. I was on a trip driving though the state of Maine during the glorious season of autumn and there were groups of these elegant trees wherever I looked. The poor driver surely got tired of having to stop so I could photograph yet more. After I took the photo, I made some changes in Photoshop and then added a painterly effect with Topaz Simplify 2.

Beautiful birch trees, Terry! One of my favorites. Love that white bark contrasted with the bright fall color.
