I keep questioning whether Dandelions are flowers or weeds and it turns out that they have only been considered weeds since the 20th century. Before then, their medicinal and value as a rich source of vitamins were highly prized. In the past, groups formed around the beauty of the dandelion and the effort to cultivate them. So I think I'll go with them being flowers. I don't mind them when they grow through the lawn, though that is probably why they came to be called weeds.
