Description
I met a good friend at the Sacramento Zoo and had a glorious morning roaming around and enjoying the beauty of the animals. We had begun the walk at the Flamingo section and ended there. It just so happened that a large group of these gorgeous water birds were suddenly upset and the way they show it is with an amazing display of ruffled feathers. It was a visual feast to see this with a lot of them, so I was clicking away and got a few terrific shots. I think this must be where we got the saying that someone's "fathers are ruffled" when they are upset. We had no idea what caused the upset, but it was a wonderful sight.
