There really is only one journey we make, it is through this life and into the heart of who we are. The poet Rainer Maria Rilke put it this way: “The only journey is the journey within.” So much outside of us urges our steps toward the external, the superficial and the fleeting. But it is the journey within, to know and to forgive and to love the essence of who we are.
